We offer horseback riding lessons, horse stabling, horse breeding, and horse training programs tailored to your horse’s needs. In addition you can enjoy horse showing locally or nationally; you can enjoy trail rides in the abutting Essex County Georgetown Rowley State Forest; you can enjoy rides at the beach and other local areas we trailer to, and you can simply enjoy participating in activities on the premises.
Our horse farm facility is located 30 miles North of Boston MA, easily accessed ½ mile off Exit 78 of I-95, and includes a heated indoor arena, 40 horse stalls, 5 turnout rings, 1/2 mile training track, and much more. We are open 7 days per week and evenings on weekdays.
The Chrislar staff of 7 professional equestrians has taught 1,000's of clients and trained 1,000's of horses. Many of the kids that took lessons at Chrislar when we opened in 1978 still ride here as adults and bring their Grandkids today! Many have purchased horses and others have chosen a career as horse breeders and trainers. Whether your interest is in learning to ride for fun, showing locally or nationally, you will find Chrislar is a fun place to hang-out with your Chrislar friends and watch what’s happening. Customers are encouraged to take lessons from all of the instructors of the Chrislar Team to learn the unique attributes and techniques or each instructor, and to observe the training of their horse.
